My Test, My Way

This year's theme for National HIV Testing Day (NHTD) is, "My Test, My Way." Knowing your HIV status means taking charge of your own health as well as making it a priority. This year's theme is about getting tested in whatever way makes the most sense for you. Whether that be a self-test at home or finding a clinic near you, like Matthew 25!

This year we also recognize the 40th anniversary of the first MMWR report which would later become known as AIDS. It's important we recognize and highlight this as we continue the fight to ending the HIV epidemic.

Although COVID-19 has created many barriers this past year we are excited to now be back out in our communities offering education, prevention tools as well as FREE HIV and HEP C testing. This NTHD we wanted to create something in order to serve our communities. We will be hosting two events for NHTD, one in Henderson and one in Bowling Green.

Our event in Henderson, KY will be hosted at the Salvation Army (parking lot) where we will be offering FREE and confidential HIV testing from 11AM-4PM. You also have the opportunity to receive a FREE $10 Dollar General gift card if you are one of our first 25 testers! We will also have snacks and plenty of other giveaways.

For our event in Bowling Green, KY we are teaming up with the Barren River District Health Department and UK Health Care to offer FREE HIV tests. We will be located at First Christian Church from 10AM-1PM for on Friday June 25th. Along with offering FREE HIV tests we also have 60 goody bags made and ready to hand out to testers!

If you can't make it to either of our events and are interested in getting tested just call one of our clinics and we will get you scheduled for your test! Our INSTI rapid tests only take 60 seconds to know your results. At Matthew 25, whether your results are negative or positive, we will have all of the tools and resources to help you to maintain a happy and healthy life. Get tested your way and #KnowYourStatus.

If you have any questions about our resources or would like to schedule a free and confidential HIV test, please call (866) 607-6590. You can also email treed@matthew25clinic.org for more information!
